You can reach Casa Barry Lodge by normal car however should you have a 4x4 it would be advisable to take it as there are many other interesting sights to be seen along the coastline and access to these areas is some times on sand roads.

When entering Mozambique (JHB through Komatipoort border post) and (Kwa Zulu Natal through Swaziland and Lomahasha or Goba border post) you will proceed to the city of Maputo. As you are entering Maputo you will go through a Toll gate, just after this you will need to turn left on the EN1 road to XAI-XAI. The trip from Maputo to XAI-XAI will take you 3 hrs, continue on the main road north to Inhambane - 3 hrs and then on to Tofo - 20km follow signs to Casa Barry Lodge.

You will need your Passport with a visa to enter Mozambique (No visa's for RSA passport holders), vehicle papers including the log book or a certified copy and insurance documents. It is compulsory to purchase 3rd party insurance cover at the border of entry.

The speed limit in all towns in Mozambique is 60kmh DO NOT go over this speed limit as most towns have a traffic department with a speed trapping device and they will catch you. Spot fine throughout Mozambique for any traffic offence is R500.00 Be careful.
